About the conference

Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We at Lifeline Productions, Inc. thank you for your interest in Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole’s 10th annual Singers & Musicians Conference, which will take place Wednesday through Saturday, September 24-27, 2008 hosted by Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, 19190 Schaefer Hwy, Detroit, Michigan, Supt. J. Drew Sheard, Senior Pastor. The theme for this year's conference is “Singers & Musicians Maintaining Spiritual Integrity”. This conference is designed to provide delegates with mind renewing instruction, time for spiritual-inventory and reflection and opportunities to meet and network with other minstrels from across the country.

There will be daily workshops covering various topics; an artist spotlight each evening; evening worship services, an urban music café and a new artist showcase. This year's speakers will be announced soon, so keep checking this website for updates.

Registration isn’t necessary to attend the evening worship services or appreciation service. All other events require registration. You may print out a form using one of the menus or register on-line. All participants are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements.

We look forward to seeing you in September!

SMC Workshops

Each workshop will explore various topics and provide Biblically based instruction designed to empower and equip God’s minstrels with the tools necessary to increase their effectiveness. Specific topics will be announced. Workshops will take place Wednesday through Friday. Registration is required. Please click the Registration link in the menu for more information.

Evening Services

Dr. Cole acknowledges the importance of leading and teaching by example that is why she invites well-known artists with experience in the industry to minister in Word Wednesday through Friday evening of the conference. She also acknowledges the importance of providing opportunities for exposure and supporting lesser-known artists. Our evening services, a culmination of both principles, are open to all.

SMC Urban Music Café

Friday night has been set aside for other forms of worship deserving more recognition and promotion: Holy Hip Hop, Poetry and Spoken Word, and various forms of dance. Join us during our late night concert showcasing local artists in a café setting.

SMC New Artist Showcase

The Singers & Musicians Conference (SMC) Showcase is a great opportunity for unsigned artists to gain exposure and receive feedback from a panel of industry experts who will share their expertise and give helpful feedback. We are currently accepting submissions from New Artist who would like to be considered for this year’s Showcase. Submissions deadline for the showcase is August 22, 2007. Spaces are limited, so please send your submissions for the New Artist Showcase early. Please click the Showcase link in the menu for more information.

Appreciation Service

Supt. J. Drew Sheard, Sr. Pastor and Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ invite all to join them  Saturday evening as to show our appreciation for Evangelist Dorinda Clark Cole and thank her for her tireless effort and dedication.
